INVOCATION

PRAISING THE LORD

Hymn 98
Now Thank We All Our God

PUBLIC CONFESSION OF SIN

Almighty God, you love us but we have not loved you. You call, but we have not listened. We walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped in our own concerns. We condone evil, prejudice, and greed.

God of grace, help us to admit our sin, so that as you come in mercy, we may repent, turn to you, and receive forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

SILENT CONFESSION OF SIN

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

1 John 2:1–2

LEADER: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: If anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

CONFESSION OF FAITH

Heidelberg Catechism 75

LEADER: How does the Lord's Supper signify and seal to you that you share in Christ's one sacrifice on the cross and in all His gifts?

PEOPLE: In this way: Christ has commanded me and all believers to eat of this broken bread and drink of this cup in remembrance of Him. With this command He gave these promises: First, as surely as I see with my eyes the bread of the Lord broken for me and the cup given to me, so surely was His body offered for me and His blood poured out for me on the cross. Second, as surely as I receive from the hand of the minister and taste with my mouth the bread and the cup of the Lord as sure signs of Christ's body and blood, so surely does He Himself nourish and refresh my soul to everlasting life with His crucified body and shed blood.

PRAYING TOGETHER FOR GOD'S PEOPLE

WORSHIPPING BY GIVING

(Sign, pass & return Friendship Pad)

• Choral Offertory - Sing Praise To God Who Reigns Above

Sing praise to God, who reigns above, the God of all creation
The God of pow’r, the God of love, the God of our salvation;
With healing balm, my soul is filled, and ev’ry faithless murmur stilled:
To God all praise and glory!

What God’s almighty pow’r hath made, God’s gracious mercy keepeth;
By morning glow or evening shade, God’s watchful eye ne’er sleepeth.

The Lord is never far away, but through all grief distressing,
An ever present help and stay, our peace and joy and blessing.
Sing praise to God, who reigns above, the God of all creation
The God of pow’r, the God of love, the God of our salvation;
With healing balm, my soul is filled, and ev’ry faithless murmur stilled:
To God all praise and glory!
To God all praise and glory!

PRAISING OUR GOD

Doxology (Hymn 733)

Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him, all creatures here below, Alleluia, Alleluia
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.

DEDICATING OUR LIVES & GIFTS

ALL: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

PREPARING TO HEAR GOD'S WORD

Ensemble & Congregation
  Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One,
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ His Son.

And now let the weak say, “I am strong,” Let the poor say, “I am rich,
because of what the Lord has done for us!”
Give thanks. Give thanks.

You Are My All in All

You are my strength when I am weak. You are the treasure that I seek.
You are my All in All.
Seeking You as a precious jew’l. Lord, to give up I’d be a fool.
You are my All in All.

Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is Your name.
Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is Your name.

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame. Rising again, I bless Your name.
You are my All in All.
When I fall down You pick me up. When I am dry You fill my cup.
You are my All in All.

Repeat Chorus

Step By Step

O God, You are my God, and I will ever praise You.
O God, You are my God, and I will ever praise You.
I will seek You in the morning, and I will learn to walk in Your ways.
And step by step You’ll lead me, and I will follow You all of my days.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

PASTOR: The Lord be with you!

PEOPLE: And also with you!

PASTOR: Lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

PASTOR: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

PEOPLE: It is right to give our thanks and praise.

PASTOR: It is right that we should at all times and in all places give thanks to you, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, Everlasting God; who created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them; who made man in your own image, and whose tender mercies are over all your works.

Therefore, we praise you, joining our voices with the choirs of heaven and with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name:

PEOPLE: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.

PASTOR: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

PEOPLE: Hosanna in the highest.

PASTOR: We give you thanks that the body of the Lord Jesus was broken that we might be healed and that his blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

ALL: We do this, Lord, in remembrance of you. Amen.

RESPONDING IN SONG

Hymn 498

BENEDICTION

Eph. 1:17–18; 2 Pet. 3:18

PASTOR: I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever!

ALL: Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen.
