Hymn 277

Christ the Lord is Risen Today

CONFESSING OUR SINS

PASTOR: O Lord, no day of my life has passed that has not proved me guilty in your sight. Prayers have been uttered from a prayerless heart and praise has been a praiseless sound. My best services are filthy rags.

PEOPLE: I flee from the throne of perfect justice to your throne of boundless grace, grant me to hear your voice assuring me: that by your stripes I am healed, that you were bruised for my iniqui-ties, that you have been made sin for me, so that I would be righteous in you, that my grievous and manifold sins are all for-given, buried in the ocean of your cleansing blood.

ALL: I am guilty, but pardoned, lost, but saved, wandering, but found, sinful, but cleansed. Our only hope is in Christ, and in his name we pray. Amen.

CONFESSING OUR SINS PRIVATELY

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Ephesians 2:8-9

PASTOR: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. Now, lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

RESPONDING IN SONG

Hymn 295

Crown Him with Many Crowns

THANKING GOD FOR HIS PRESENCE

PASTOR: We give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good.
ALL: Your love endures forever. Amen.

CONFESSING OUR FAITH

Heidelberg Catechism, 53

PASTOR: What do you believe concerning the Holy Spirit?

PEOPLE: First, He is, together with the Father and the Son, true and eternal God. Second, He is also given to me, to make me by true faith share in Christ and all His benefits, to comfort me, and to remain with me forever.

Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Ensemble & Congregation

Lord, for Your Glory

Lord, for Your glory we sing Your praises. We magnify Your holy name.
All for Your glory, Lord, we bring blessing. We seek to honor You all of our days.

We lift our hands, we lift our praise to You.
We worship all you are in spirit and truth. We give our hearts;
We live our lives to You. We offer all we are for the glory of You.

Almighty Father, we are Your children. You have been faithful to Your own.
Lord, for Your glory we have been chosen. We lay down all we have here at Your throne.

We lift our hands, we lift our praise to You.
We worship all you are in spirit and truth. We give our hearts;
We live our lives to You. We offer all we are;
We offer all we have; we offer all our lives for the glory of You.

Under the Blood

O the blood of the Passover Lamb is applied to the door of my life,
No power of darkness could ever withstand the force of the blood sacrifice.
Though Satan will bring accusations, I let him know right where I stand,
For now there is no condemnation, I知 under the blood of the Lamb!

I知 under the blood of the Lamb that covers the guilt of my sin,
By the mercy of God, holy and righteous I stand;
I知 under the blood of the Lamb,
I知 safe and secure from the enemy痴 plan,
No weapon formed against me can stand, I知 under the blood of the Lamb.
