PREPARING IN STILLNESS

WELCOMING THE ASSEMBLY

PASTOR: The Lord be with you!
PEOPLE: And also with you!

DRAWING NEAR TO WORSHIP

Hymn 363
  We Gather Together

CONFESSING OUR SINS

ALL: Eternal God, in whom we live and move and have our being, whose face is hidden from us by our sins, and whose mercy we forget in the blindness of our hearts: Cleanse us from all our offenses, and deliver us from proud thoughts and vain desires, that with reverent and humble hearts we may draw near to you, confessing our faults, confiding in your grace, and finding in you our refuge and strength; through Jesus Christ your Son. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

1 Timothy 1:15-16

PASTOR: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life. Now, lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

CALL TO WORSHIP

1 Chr. 16:8; Ps. 7:17; 1 Thess. 5:18; Rev. 11:17

PASTOR: Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

PEOPLE: I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

PASTOR: Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

ALL: We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

RESPONDING IN SONG

Hymn 715

Come, Ye Thankful People, Come

CONFESSING OUR FAITH

Apostles' Creed

PASTOR: People of God, what do we believe?

PEOPLE: We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
he remained under the power of death.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy apostolic church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

THANKING GOD FOR HIS PRESENCE

PASTOR: We give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good.
ALL: Your love endures forever. Amen.

PRAYING TOGETHER FOR GOD'S PEOPLE

Pastor Dave Clelland

PASTOR: Lord, in your mercy:
ALL: Hear our prayer.

CHORAL ANTHEM

In The Season of Our Plenty (Patterson) Choir

In the season of our plenty, we give thanks on bended knee.
For the goodness of God’s bounty, ever thankful we will be.
Alleluia, alleluia, this will be our song of praise.
Alleluia, alleluia, this our joyful hymn we raise.

In the year of Your good pleasure, humbly now we bow in prayer;
Giving praise for Your good measure, from Your gracious hand we share.
Alleluia, alleluia, this will be our song of praise.
Alleluia, alleluia, this our joyful hymn we raise.

In this day of grace and kindness, we rejoice with grateful song.
Thanking God for all His goodness, let the sound of praise be strong!
Alleluia, alleluia, this will be our song of praise.

PREPARING TO HEAR GOD'S WORD

Ensemble & Congregation

Glory Be to God, the Father

Glory be to God the Father, glory be to God the Son,
Glory be to God the Spirit: Great Jehovah, Three in One,
Great Jehovah, Three in One.

Glory, glory, glory, glory, while eternal ages run.
Glory, glory, glory, glory, Great Jehovah, Three in One,
Great Jehovah, Three in One.

Glory be to Him who loved us, washed us from each spot and stain;
Glory be to Him who bought us, made us kings with Him to reign,
Made us kings with Him to reign!

Glory, glory, glory, glory, to the Lamb that once was slain.
Glory, glory, glory, glory, made us kings with Him to reign,
Made us kings with him to reign.

Glory, blessing praise eternal! Thus the choir of angels sings,
“Honor, riches, pow’r, dominion!” Thus its praise creation brings,
Thus its praise creation brings.

Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory to the King of kings.
Glory, glory, glory, glory, thus its praise creation brings,
Thus its praise creation brings.
(Repeat last chorus)

You Are Lord of All

1. Lamb of God, You’ve come to dwell in our hearts, Immanuel;
Perfect sacrifice of Love, You are Lord of all.
2. Word of God, Refiner’s Fire, be our heart’s one pure desire;
Cleanse, refresh and make us new, You are Lord of all.

3. King of Kings, we humbly bow as our hearts enthrone You now;
Holy One receive our praise, You are Lord of all.

Repeat Stanza 1

Repeat Stanza 3
