The Gospel is True

We have a hope that is living and love that never will end.
We have a God who’s forgiven us while we were yet in sin.

We have a grace that’s amazing; a free gift to know Him by faith,
To live for His praise and long for the day, when we see Him face to face.

Thank You, Jesus. Oh, how we worship You.
Thank You, Jesus. Hallelujah, the gospel is true.

We have been crucified with Him, buried and risen to life.
Now justified, soon glorified, we shall be made like Christ.

Repeat Chorus

We Are the Body of Christ

One heart, one spirit, one voice to praise You. We are the body of Christ.
One goal, one vision to see You exalted. We are the body of Christ.

And to this, we give our lives to see You glorified
One heart, one spirit, one voice to praise You. We are the body of Christ.

CONFESSING OUR SINS

ALL: O God of grace, You have imputed my sin to my substitute, and have imputed His righteousness to me, clothing me with a bridegroom’s robe, decking me with jewels of holiness. But in my Christian walk I am still in rags; my best prayers are stained with sin; my penitential tears are so much impurity; my confessions of wrong are so many aggravations of sin. I need to repent of my repentance; I need my tears to be washed; I have no robe to bring to cover my sins, no loom to weave my own righteousness; I am always standing clothed in filthy garments, and by grace am always receiving change of raiment, for You justify the ungodly.

Grant me never to lose sight of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, the exceeding righteousness of salvation, the exceeding glory of Christ, the exceeding beauty of holiness, and the exceeding wonder of grace! Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Isaiah 55:7

PASTOR: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Now, lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

CALL TO WORSHIP

Deut. 7:9; Psa. 33:4; 1 Cor. 1:9; Deut. 32:4

PASTOR: Know that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

PEOPLE: For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

PASTOR: God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

ALL: He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

PREPARING TO HEAR GOD'S WORD

Ensemble & Congregation

Here in This Place

Lay your burden down, ev’ry care you carry,
And come to the table of grace, for there is mercy.
We come just as we are, though we’re all unworthy
To enter Your presence, O Lord, for You are holy.

We lift our hearts, we lift our hands, we fall on our knees and pray,
To the King of kings, for the love You bring is here in the place.
We raise our voices, raise our song, we offer You our praise.
You’re the King of kings and the joy You bring is here,
You are here in this place.

Fill our lives with praise; show us Your forgiveness
And give us the faith to believe that You’ve redeemed us.
You are Lord of all and we give You glory
All honor and power and praise, for You are worthy.

Repeat Chorus Twice

PREPARING TO COMMUNE WITH CHRIST

Ensemble & Congregation

Alas, and Did My Savior Bleed

Alas! and did my Savior bleed and did my Sov’reign Die?
Would He devote that sacred head for such a worm as I?
Was it for sins that I had done He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity, grace unknown, and love beyond degree.

My God, why would You shed Your blood, so pure and undefiled,
To make a sinful one like me Your chosen, precious child?

Well might the sun in darkness hide and shut His glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died for man the creature’s sin;
Thus might I hide my blushing face while His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness and melt my eyes to tears.

Repeat Chorus Twice
