Blessed Be the Lord God Almighty

Father in heaven, how we love You, we lift Your name in all the earth.
May Your kingdom be established in our praises,
As Your people declare Your mighty works.

Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come;
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, who reigns forevermore.

Gonna Trust in God

I'm gonna trust in God, I'm gonna trust in Jesus,
Without shame and without fear.
I'm gonna fix my eyes on the hope of glory, for His day is drawing near.

How great is the love of God! How steady is His hand,
To guide me through this world,
And though I am weak, in Him, I stand,
And you will hear me say, today, in faith, "I'm gonna trust in God."

Now when the cares of life seem overwhelming,
And my heart is sinking down, I'm gonna lift my hands
To the One who'll help me, to the One who holds my crown.

Repeat Chorus

CONFESSING OUR SINS

ALL: Lord God! Eternal and Almighty Father, we acknowledge and confess before Your holy Majesty that we are poor sinners, conceived and born in guilt and in corruption, prone to do evil, unable of ourselves to do any good, who, by reason of our depravity, transgress without end Your holy commandments. Therefore, we have drawn upon ourselves, by Your just sentence, condemnation and death.

But, Oh Lord! with heartfelt sorrow, we repent and deplore our offenses. We condemn ourselves and our evil ways, with true penitence, beseeching that Your grace may relieve our distress. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

1 John 1:6-7

PASTOR: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Now, lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

CALL TO WORSHIP

Jer. 33:14; Psa. 119:116; 2 Cor. 1:20; Psa. 119:50

PASTOR: "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah."

PEOPLE: Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.

PASTOR: For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

ALL: My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.

PREPARING TO HEAR GOD'S WORD

Ensemble & Congregation

King of Heaven

King of heaven, Lord of me, I don't understand this mystery.
I can't comprehend how You can be King of heaven and Lord of me.

The hand that made the moon and stars is the hand that reaches down to me.
The Holy One for the lowly comes and lays aside His majesty.
The eyes that always watch the world are the eyes that see inside of me.
How great a love that You are mindful of and Father to the least of these.

Repeat Chorus

The One that could have worn the crown wore the thorns upon His head.
The Prince has come as a pauper's son; the First became the Last instead.
His shoulders should have worn robes and yet, He chose the sinner's cross.
The great I AM became the Lamb and gave Himself to save the lost.

King of heaven, Lord of me, I don't understand this mystery.
I can't comprehend how You can be King of heaven and Lord of me,
King of Heaven and Lord of me.

With Our Hearts

With our hearts we believe, with our mouths we confess,
"You are Lord, you are Lord."
From this day 'til the end we will sing it again,
and again, "You are Lord, you are Lord."

By your power you've made us, and by your grace we're redeemed,
To walk in the truth that you give us, and minister life in your name.

Repeat Chorus

I Worship You, Almighty God

I worship You, Almighty God, there is none like You.
I worship You, O Prince of Peace, that is what I long to do.
I give You praise for You are my righteousness.
I worship You, Almighty God, there is none like You.
