Hymn 38

CONFESSING OUR SINS

ALL: O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, be the God of Your people today! We confess that we have worshipped all too many other gods. We have devoted ourselves to the values of the world. Turn our hearts to You again! We confess that we have visited all too many sanctuaries, which are not Yours. We have tried to find the sources of life in all too many other places. We have made idols of our occupations, our recreations, and our homes. We turn to You, and to You alone, to be our God, our only God.

Give us spiritual integrity. Give us wholeness and holiness. Answer us, O Lord, answer us, that we will be, in truth, Your people. All honor and power be to You, O Christ, forever and ever. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

John 3:16-17

PASTOR: Hear the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in Christ: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Now, lift up your hearts!

PEOPLE: We lift them up to the Lord!

CALL TO WORSHIP

Ex. 15:2; Isa. 33:6; Eph. 1:22; Col. 1:18

PASTOR: The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

PEOPLE: He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

PASTOR: He placed all things under the feet of Christ and appointed him to be head over everything for the church.

ALL: He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

ALL: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. PREPARING TO HEAR GOD'S WORD

Ensemble & Congregation

Unto the Lamb

We lift our praises unto the throne, blessing the Lamb who was slain.
Holy and righteous worthy alone, chosen forever to reign, forever to reign.

Glory and honor unto the Lamb for Your forgiveness and grace.
Healing and mercy flow from Your hand
Filling our hearts with praise unto the Lamb.

We come before You with all that we are praising our Father above.
Healing our sorrows, filling our hearts with Your unspeakable love, unspeakable love.

Repeat Chorus

We exalt You, holy Lord, Hallelujah, forevermore unto the Lamb!

Repeat Chorus

PASTOR: We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

PEOPLE: Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen! (Revelation 11:17; 7:12)

  Give Thanks to the Lord

Give thanks to the Lord, for the works of his hand, for a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Give thanks to the Lord for we all now can stand and fear not of being forsaken.

Give thanks to the Lord for His righteousness.
Give thanks to the Lord for His love.
Let us worship his name and his holiness: give thanks to the Lord;
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, give thanks.

Give thanks to the Father for sending his Son. Give thanks to the Son for the Spirit.
Now lift up your voices to God, three in One, and shout so the whole world can hear it.

Repeat Chorus Twice
