What is WIC?

All women who attend Town North Presbyterian Church are considered part of WIC (Women in the Church), sometimes referred to as Women’s Ministry. The purpose of WIC is to equip every woman to know Christ personally and extend His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.

Not only is WIC an integral part of the overall ministry at TNPC, it is part of the nation-wide WIC ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America. We also belong to the North Texas PresWIC, which affords us opportunities for fellowship, ministry, and instruction beyond the walls of our own church.

TNPC WIC Mission Statement

The mission of WIC is to equip and encourage the women of Town North Presbyterian Church to seek Christ’s wisdom in their daily lives and to reflect his image to those within the church and those outside the covenant community.

Our Goal and Objectives

The overall goal of WIC is to glorify God and ground its members in the Christian faith. This goal is accomplished through the following objectives:

2007-2008 Theme: The Designer’s Accessories

This year we will be learning about putting our faith into action as we focus on two passages written by Peter. 1 Peter 3:3,4 tells us our beauty does not come from outer adornments but that of our inner self. What are these inner adornments, these divine accessories? 2 Peter lists goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly (& sisterly) kindness, and love.

Our hope and prayer is that throughout this year and for the rest of our lives we will, as godly women, strive to “possess these qualities in increasing measure”

Women to Women Small Group Studies

Goals of this study:

Format of study:

Saturday Morning Prayer Hour

Join us for a time of prayer 9:00 – 10:00 the 2nd Saturday of each month at the home of Nancy Day. For more information concerning the Prayer Time contact Susan Ray.

Meetings

Approximately every other month the Women in the Church will gather together for a time of fellowship, encouragement, exhortation, singing, and fun. Each WIC meeting is a little bit different. WIC meetings begin at 7:00 with a time of fellowship and refreshment followed by business and the program. Please feel welcome to invite friends and visitors to these meetings.
