Church Picnic

Praise God for the gift of a perfect afternoon for the church wide picnic held on October 31st at Bob Woodruff Park.  It was a huge success, with about 60 people in attendance.  Wayne Bowman orchestrated a fun time with rocket launches for the younger kids during the first part of the picnic’s activities.  After the rocket launching, various individuals engaged in games of croquet, horseshoes, and football.  We even had one person fishing in the lake while others strolled around it for some exercise.

John Rantal serenaded us during dinnertime by singing and paying the guitar while we ate all sorts of goodies. Some people barbequed; others brought picnic sandwiches, and still others just nibbles.  Thanks to all who participated in this event and for making it a special time with good fellowship.

Upcoming Meetings

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 8th. That evening, we will have our Holiday Tea from 6:30 - 8 p.m.  Both adults and school-age girls are invited.  For more information, see the advertisement in this issue of the Crier.

2010 isn’t far away, so please note our first WIC gathering of the New Year - Tuesday, January 5th at 7 p.m. in the WIC Rooms. Come and join us for a Sharing and Praise Night.  There will be sharing among us women of what God has been doing in our lives, along with some hymn-singing.  We look forward to seeing each of you in the New Year!
